Edit literal text across local components.

Copy Editor reads supported JSX text from the active JSX or TSX component and statically traverses local component imports. Its panel groups fields by source file, shows a source line label for each field, and lets you save changes back to their source files.

02 / How to use it

Open, edit, save.

   Open a JSX or TSX file in VS Code.

   Run Copy Editor: Open from the Command Palette.

   Edit the text fields in the Copy Editor panel and choose Save Changes.

The source is updated in the VS Code document buffer. Save the files as usual. The panel refreshes after a successful save; close and reopen it to extract current source again.

03 / Scope and limits

Static source traversal.

Traversal follows the static source structure and does not reproduce runtime DOM order. It supports multiple components per source file and avoids repeated component visits. Stale source selections are rejected before an edit is applied.

Dynamic expressions, props, maps, conditionals, template content and attribute values are outside the supported literal-text scope. Version 1.0.1 is prepared for Marketplace submission under the publisher ID brownsmith-dynamics. The Marketplace listing is not live yet; its link will appear here after publication.
