Prompt Composer privacy policy
Prompt Composer helps you review, format, and reuse prompt text beside compatible web editors. This policy describes version 0.2.3. Store availability is not stated here.
Supported editor interaction
When you use an extension feature, Prompt Composer may read the draft or selected text in a supported editor on a site where it is enabled. Processing takes place locally in the browser. Preview and undo information exists in page memory. Prompt Composer does not persist editor drafts, prompt history, clipboard contents, previews, or undo snapshots.
The extension changes a draft only after you use its controls. It does not submit prompts, click the site's submit control, or send Enter on your behalf.
Information saved in Chrome
Prompt Composer stores extension settings and snippet definitions in chrome.storage.local in your Chrome profile. Settings include preferences and which sites are enabled. The initial settings enable a curated set of hostnames; you can change site settings in the extension. Stored settings and snippets remain in the browser profile until you change or remove them, reset extension data, or uninstall the extension.
Network and clipboard
Prompt Composer has no account system, backend, analytics, telemetry, advertising, or model API integration. It does not send prompt text, editor contents, snippets, settings, or clipboard contents to Brownsmith Dynamics or another service. It does not execute remotely hosted code.
Copying a prepared result writes to the clipboard only after you click the copy control. The extension does not request clipboard-read permission or store clipboard contents. Other applications that receive clipboard data follow their own practices.
Browser permissions
The extension uses storage for settings and snippets, sidePanel for its management interface, and HTTP and HTTPS host access to work beside compatible editors. The source requests website access and applies its site-enabled settings, which start with a curated hostname allowlist. Prompt Composer does not request browsing history, identity, tabs, or downloads permissions.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Prompt Composer's use of information received through browser permissions complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Browser-provided information is used only to provide the extension's purpose of reviewing, formatting, and reusing text in a supported editor.
Changes and contact
