Page QR.
Make a QR code from the full address of the page you’re viewing. Keep the path, subdomain, query and fragment intact, and share the exact destination.
EXAMPLE URL
https://portal.example.com/
products/widget?ref=partner#specs01 / Features
A small shortcut to the exact page.
Page QR reads the active tab’s HTTP or HTTPS address and turns it into a QR code on your device. The whole URL is included, including subdomains, paths, query parameters and fragments.
- 01Keep the full address
Useful for product pages, filtered views and links with anchors or referral parameters.
- 02Take the code with you
Download a PNG, copy it to the clipboard, or use your device’s native share options when available.
- 03Made for the page you’re on
A focused popup with a quiet Brownsmith Dynamics footer and no account to set up.
02 / How to use it
From tab to shareable code.
- 01
Open an HTTP or HTTPS page you want to share.
- 02
Open Page QR from your browser’s extensions menu.
- 03
Save the QR as a PNG, copy it, or share it if your browser provides native sharing.
Browser prompts and clipboard behavior can vary. If an action is unavailable in your browser, the QR remains available in the extension popup.
03 / Limits
Designed for web addresses.
Only the current page’s HTTP or HTTPS URL is supported. Browser-internal pages, extension pages and other non-web schemes cannot be read. A QR code holds the URL as it appears in the address bar; a destination may later change or require sign-in.
Scanning the code opens the destination using the scanner’s normal browser. Page QR does not shorten links or verify where a destination leads.
04 / Privacy
Your URL stays on your device.
QR generation happens locally. Page QR uses the activeTab permission to read the current web address after you open the extension. It does not send that address to a BD server, and the extension has no analytics or account system.
Source and installation
Install Page QR from the Chrome Web Store. Find source code and developer setup instructions in the Page QR project on GitHub. It is part of the Brownsmith Dynamics plugins repository.
